This presidents day we went to Hanauma Bay with a new friend and her daughter who is only 2 weeks younger than kayla. We took some pics but i dont have time to download them so above is a stock photo of the bay- it is awesome for snorkling- and for kids because the reef stops most of the waves from hitting.
The day started a little rocky because it is 30-45 minutes from our home and we took one car, with Samantha driving and 2 carseats in the back it was hard to keep Kayla happy- especially because she was so tired! she cried most of the way, things starting looking up during the movie- they have you watch an info movie so you dont damage the reef, but once i got her in the water she was unhappy again. It wasnt until her little friend hailey started playing with her that she had fun :)
After we played in the water a bit we went up to the beach for some lunch and kayla fell asleep- i wrapped her in a towel and she slept maybe an hour! :) it was awesome- i had a chance to go into the reef and i saw alot of beautiful fish- a big one scared me while i was on top of reef and i couldnt step on the ground so i filled my snorkel with water! it was so funny! classic tourist!
we decided to go home around 2 pm and we noticed our friend Sam was red! lobster red! i thought at least i am not red- HAHAH i was wrong- i got home jumped in the shower and the redness started coming in- then i started burning- i could barely move or sleep- kayla was fine- she had clothes and spf and she slept an hour- sheldon was fine-he was in the water the whole day- just me and Sam were red and miserable! but it was alot of fun! and i would do it again- i would just wear some more clothes to protect my skin- plus tons more spf! :)

It sounds like you guys had fun. To bad you got burnt, hope you recover soon. Kayla is so adorable and looks like her mommy more and more.
